In your prayers today, I see more than ever a deep sense of fear and unrest about conditions in the world. You petition for peace, but do not look for it within yourself, nor do you cherish and nurture it when it appears in your life. You must remember that true prayer comes from placing your attention on that which you want, and shaping your beliefs to see it done. The real power of prayer comes from something deeper than words. In fact, the most effective prayers may not employ any words at all. When you discover this wisdom, you will awaken your power to bring wellness, abundance, health, security, and peace to your life.
In every moment of your life, there are many, many possibilities that already exist. The way you experience any one of those possibilities is through the choices you make. Time and space are not at all what they seem. Time does not flow in only one direction, and many dimensions of space exist simultaneously within a vast potential.
To help convey this multi-layered potential, picture a wavy line moving from left to right. Then place another wavy line directly above it, then another, and another, etc. Now picture a single vertical line that intersects each of the others. A vertical line represents a single moment in time that has many, many horizontal layers. A different possibility or outcome exists within each one of the layers. The events in your life play out a little differently, depending on which layer you’re in.
You are, in fact, surrounded by a field of energy that responds to your inner world, your heart, your focus, and your choices. All of creation is united through an unseen force. And your inner world influences your outer world through this invisible force. Human DNA is a direct condensation of love, spirit, and adamantine particles that generate a portrait of your soul and cast it out to the universe as a field of vibrating waves. This has a measurable effect on the matter that makes up our world. Different emotions have different effects on your DNA and your body. Positive emotions like love, compassion, and appreciation exert a healing effect on your body…and thus on the world around you.
All of life is connected through an energy or force that exists everywhere all the time. This highly refined form of vibration that is everywhere all the time is the Body of God. It is a field of conscious and intelligent energy that responds to genuine states of human emotion. Both your state of being and your feelings affect the world around you, near and far, through this non-local energy. You see, there’s a constant dialogue going on between your heart, your mind, and this intelligent energy field. The dialogue within your body creates an energy field, which extend well beyond your body. The body of God is the conduit that carries it out to the rest of existence.
It might help to use the model of a hologram. A hologram is a pattern in nature in which every piece of the pattern has everything it needs to reproduce the entire pattern all over again. If you make a change anywhere in a holographic pattern, it is mirrored throughout the entire pattern. The reason this is important is that the being of light, which we are, are holographic in nature. Our consciousness, beliefs, and bodies are holographic. For instance, every strand of DNA in your body has all of the information required to make another one of you. And each of your beliefs impacts the whole by affecting your emotions, feelings, and moment-to-moment choices. If you change a belief, you’ll change your life.
Each of the choices you make in each of your seemingly insignificant moments becomes part of the collective holographic model of consciousness. That is how anyone can play an important role in healing others and creating peace in our world. You can avoid experiencing the darker vision simply by making certain choices about the way you conduct your life. The ultimate mode of prayer is to place yourself within the Heart of God where all things are possible and in fact already exist!
The idea of prayer can mean many things to different people. There are many types of prayer that you may enjoy and practice for the spiritual enrichment they bring. Among them, there is speaking to God, informally describing problems or giving thanks for blessings. There is petitionary prayer which claims your support from the creative forces of existence for specific uses of purposes. For example, a leader petitions the power and grace of God for good and wise leadership. There are many ritualistic prayers which celebrate the glory of god. Another type of prayer is meditative prayer which is simply contemplating unity with God or the Holy Spirit without condition or expectation.
Gratitude
The most powerful prayer of all is the prayer of receiving in gratitude, knowing whatever you need or desire has already been provided. That form of prayer is simply a powerful change of focus within yourself to bring about receivership. All other forms of prayer involve lack and neediness. Some reinforce a troubled heart. The prayer of gratitude, however, is a prayer of true belief. It is by your own faith that you are made whole. When you realize this, you’ll come to realize that you are actually engaged in a form of prayer in every moment of your life. Most importantly, you’ll know how to use that information to live a better life and affect a better life for all.
