I like Werner’s book because I enjoy reading a good story. My view is that it’s a well written book. The characters are very believable, all the way from the ‘good’ guys (Pepe and Eedoo and all close friends of Pepe) to the ‘shady’ characters (Bishop Jacobs, Eddy and Benny), and of course Eedoo’s mother and his sister Rita, and Eedoo’s girlfriend Cindy. One definition of a good book is that you feel you have met new friends as the result of reading the book. I met new friends through this book.
A book like this, with heavy reading in the texts, and the long dialogues between Pepe and Eedoo, could become boring and tedious, but I did not feel this. There is enough suspense and intrigue and adventure built into the plot to make it an easy to read book. For me it was fast reading. I am into the second reading of the Kindle eBook edition, and will read it a third time when a copy of the paperback edition arrives.
I appreciate the way the author weaves material from the automatic writings done by Pepe, but which are in fact messages recorded by the medium James Padgett between 1914 and 1920. James Padgett received hundreds of messages from the spirit world (one estimate is that he recorded as many as 2,500 messages). The reader of Werner Voets’ book, if interested, can investigate this by following a hint dropped by the author toward the end of the novel; it is there if one cares to look. The author does an excellent job in selecting specific messages received by James Padgett to include in his novel.
Most of all, I like this book because it presents The Truth in a very non-threatening way. I feel that the author successfully introduces readers to subject matter of eternal importance in a very gentle way, truths that most readers may never see, at least in this lifetime.
I hope you will purchase a copy of this book, now available both as a Kindle eBook and as a paperback. Click on the title below for the link to this wonderful book by the author, Werner Voets.
