Associate Experience
After writing in my journal about my phenomenal experience (Did I die?) I began a busy morning. Rather than type what I had hand written in my journal, I set about finishing a manuscript for a new book. The glow of the morning’s experience continued; in some measure it intensified.
I am a self-published author, and uploading a new book is always an uplifting experience, but today, the experience was higher than ever before, and I have done this at least forty times. I have not published a book since 2012 and today I felt a bit rusty. Did I feel rusty because I was still basking in the experience of the early morning glow? I did the work of getting the details ready to upload the manuscript and the book covers to the printer – what I call the birthing process of a new book. On the other hand, and simultaneously, I was also another person standing nearby watching the operation and encouraging the process and completion.
The associate experience was simply the process of working on a book.
The new book that I am publishing is a story in itself. I feel it is part of the reason I experienced what I did when I woke and had the experience of having thoughts that I died during my sleep. It is a book that began to germinate soon after I arrived home from a 5-day “Divine Love Retreat” in Washington, DC. The retreat was in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of the man whose work is featured in my new book. It highlights his work and writings. And the work of his friend is also featured. Their names are James Padgett and Dr. Leslie Stone. I featured both because James never published his writings, but Dr. Stone did. When they first met in September of 1914, James Padgett was 62, and Dr. Stone 37.
I have published many books related to the writings of James Padgett, and another book based on his work was not in my plans. Why I did this and how did it happen, and why it is related to my experience and thought that I died in my sleep, is a story for another day.
